Hi, I’m Sara
A Professional Art Therapist,
Psychotherapist (Qualifying),
and therapeutic art facilitator.
I am trained as an Art Therapist and Psychotherapist (Qualifying) through the Canadian International Institute of Art Therapy. Using an eclectic approach, I offer person-centred therapy to meet every individual where they are at. My goal as an arts facilitator and creative at large is to bring community, empowerment and joy to the individuals or groups I work with. I hope to integrate my multi-faceted arts background into my future work encouraging creative expression for healing.
I currently work in various contracts in the addiction and mental health field, using art as an additional tool in the discovery and inner work of recovery.
My passion for the arts began working in the theatre industry as a director, producer and educator. I have always felt strongly about creating a sense of community through art and creativity, so naturally when theatre was less accessible, I pivoted into exploring other art forms such as visual art.
I am always looking for opportunities to use my creative muscle in new ways and collaborate with others to bring vibrancy into spaces, groups and people I work with.
